Exercise/Sports and such
I have started my walking/ workout regime and I must admit, the benefits are beginning to show. I am less stressed, losing weight and feeling much better. I can understand why my coach friends are sooo into sports. I found a great website I have been sharing with my sports enthusiast friends that is well worth mentioning here: http://thesportsprofessionals.com/ What a great idea! Wish I would have thought of it! Anyway, here's to sports kids!

Seen Any Good Movies Lately?
All you Clint Eastwood fans have a real treat in store in Clint's latest film-"Gran Torino". Fantastic! I will not give away too much but suffice it to say Eastwood is getting older and he works it well in this film. He is still the hero in a surprising and unexpected way. Keep the Kleenex close at hand! Highly recommended. Also, on a lighter and comic note I very much enjoyed:
Paul Blart Mall Cop
Krissa-An American Girl
Monsters versus Aliens 3D
Share with me. Have you seen any good movies lately?

Yard Sale Season
I am just itching to start going to yard sales! Love finding great bargains and reusing perfectly good products. Some of my favorite items have come from yard sales and I know God has blessed me to find exactly what I need.
Today it is currently less than 20 degrees and the snow is piled deep so I will have a few months to wait. What makes browsing through other people's unwanted things so wonderful? Perhaps it is because I feel like I'm beating the system, perhaps it is just because I just have scored the best stuff! I found a laptop table that sits on the arms of my recliner that I was planning to purchase at Office Depot but instead, got from a free box at a yard sale. Maybe it's the various pieces of original art that combined, are worth $2500! Perhaps it is the thousands of dollars I save every year.
So I will just sit and dream about all of the wonderful bargains and the beautiful mornings I will spend shopping while the birds sing and the flowers burst into bloom.

How Bitter This Rudeness!
Truly, if there is one thing that will do me in, it could very well be the lack of manners in the world today.
Just a few days ago, I drove downtown to watch the fireworks display our city was hosting. As I drove along Main Street listening to the popping and cracking of the show, I suddenly became aware someone was shouting STOP! I slammed on my brakes and came to a stop only to find there were two women and a child in the street on the crosswalk. It was dark, they were dressed in dark clothes and I admittedly didn't see them. Still, I noticed I was the only car for a few blocks so they could easily have waited ten seconds or so and then passed. They appeared to be very angry. Why? Perhaps they had waited for numerous cars before me and no one had stopped? In any case, I always stop for people in crosswalks and would certainly have stopped sooner had I seen them.
This is just a small example of the in your face type of rudeness I see very very often. The world seems to be getting more and more rude. What ever happened to good old fashioned please and thank you and smiles and consideration? Can we revive the virtue of selflessness? I surely hope so. I refuse to let all of the rude people make me rude. I will smile and turn the other cheek first. I will teach my people manners. Following the code.
